Below are some dangers signs during pregnancy that a pregnant woman should take particular note of.
Bleeding in pregnancy can mean many things from the normal to the abnormal.
It could mean;
- Implantation bleed
- Placenta previa
- Ectopic pregnancy
- Premature labor
- Miscarriage, etc.
You never can tell, any type of bleeding at all, please go to the hospital.
It is a condition called “ECLAMPSIA”.
It is a condition where high blood pressure results in seizures during pregnancy.
The other signs include;
- Blurry vision
- Difficulty urinating
- Swelling of face or hands
- High blood pressure
It is an EMERGENCY case and advised to be reported to the doctor immediately experienced.
SEVERE ABDOMINAL PAIN
Abdominal pains and cramps are common in pregnancy and they’re usually nothing to worry about but sometimes it could be a dangerous sign.
If it’s mild and goes away when you change position, have a rest, etc it’s ok but when severe, please see a doctor!
FAST OR DIFFICULTY IN BREATHING
If you ever find it difficult to breathe or you’re breathing very fast (Tachycardia) or you’re feeling chest tightness, please go to the hospital.
You’re better handled and observed by a doctor than your neighbors at home, please.
REDUCED BABY MOVEMENTS
Women begin feeling baby movements often called “quickening” from 18-20weeks of pregnancy.
If all of a sudden, a baby that has been kicking all through pregnancy stops kicking or it’s no longer kicking as it used to, PLEASE GO TO THE HOSPITAL!
SEVERE BODY SWELLING
Body swelling during pregnancy is normal but when it becomes severe with facial, hands, and leg swelling, please see your doctor to double-check on you.
It is always better to be extra sure than regret at the end of the day.
