Don’t you want to just wake up and feel a soft smooth face? Wouldn’t you just love to take pictures with no filters and show off your skin?
Well, if you want any of these things, then you should read this article to the very end.
The face is one of the first things people look at when they first meet you. You remember people by their faces, right?
I know you want to be remembered as that girl with clear, glowing skin. Or, the woman who has aged so well, her skin has no wrinkles!
There are 1000 and 1 beauty products today that promise to give you spotless, smooth skin.
While some of them might work, a number of them wouldn’t if you still have bad skincare habits.
What are those things that stand in the way of your baby-smooth face?
Here are the top four:
1. Touching your face
Let’s be real. How many times have you touched your face today? I bet more than you can remember. Even with the best products, face touching could toughen up your skin.
Your hand touch a lot of surfaces every day: books, doors, your phone. This surfaces have dirt and unseen bacteria on them. When you touch your face, you transfer that dirt to your face, resulting in not-so-clear skin.
What to do:
Don’t touch your face unless you really have to. Before you do, wash your hands with soap and water so they are clean.
2. Using a lot of products:
Do you know someone eager to try anything, just anything on their skin? Perhaps you’re like that too. You need to stop putting everything you can on your skin!
Different products have different compositions. Some might contradict each other, while some might not be good for you. If you are using a whole lot of products, how would you know this?
What to do:
Use one type of skin care product at a time. If you feel a product is not working, try exfoliating or asking the company how to use it. If it doesn’t work after that, feel free to switch to another one. Don’t combine.
3. Using dirty pillowcases and handkerchiefs
If you wash your pillowcase once in a Blue Moon, chances are you are just giving your face a rough fee. Your face is on the pillowcase most of the night, so all the oils and sweat you to release while sleeping goes right back into your face. Not good.
Also, dirty hankies carry dirt and can transfer bacteria onto your face. This bacteria can give you pimples, which no smooth face wants to have.
What to do:
Wash or change your pillowcase at least thrice a month. This way, you make it harder for your face to get rough overnight. You should also wash your hankies after a day’s work, or use a clean one each day.
4. Clean your makeup
Sure, we all want to look good when we step out of the door. Makeup even allows us to hide some of our flaws, like rough skin and dark circles.
But makeup can also be bad for your skin, especially when it’s left overnight. All those amazing make-up products end up clogging up your pores and making you look much older.
What to do:
Clean off your makeup immediately you get home. You can put one or two make-up pads or cotton wool in your bag just in case you don’t get home that day. A small bottle of your clean seer would also come in handy.
These simple things have prevented a lot of ladies from getting the clear skin they deserve. If you want to take that no filter picture very soon, follow the steps above. Know another bad habit? We’d love to hear it.
